Easter at Big Apple School

Well the Easter bunny may have jumped the gun at the Casey household, but he arrived as scheduled at Big Apple School. The school hosted fun and games for mums n tots on the Friday before the real Easter. Twas fun for Vivi and for mom.

Here's the class coloring on pre-dyed Easter eggs.

Here's Teacher Layla (or Leula, Lele, Leule, we're still not exactly sure of her name) explaining the egg hunt.

Vivi during...

...and after face painting. Yikes - that's a scary butterfly! She's with her friend Dia, Vivi and Dia have become quite the pair, and not exactly in a good way. Oy.

A little musical interlude

And finally a group shot. There are three Western kids in the class, a couple of Koreans, a couple of Japanese, and the rest are Chinese. There are three or four kids missing in this shot. There are about 15 kids total in her class, with 2 teachers, a couple of assistants, and two American teachers who rotate in for half an hour a day to teach English.

The Big Apple is an ok school, but its no Pinocchio (the school Vivi went to in Korea). Now THAT school was great!
