Bulguksa

This week we visited Bulguksa Temple, a Unesco World Cultural Heritage site 90 minutes north of Pusan. Bulguksa is a magnificent Buddhist temple originally constructed in A.D. 528. The temple was destroyed in 1593 by the Japanese and reconstructed in the 1970s. The entire temple complex is a Korean national treasure. We were lucky to visit on a clear and crisp spring day when the cherry trees were blooming and the crowds were small.

Our photos don't do the temple justice. Regardless, here are a few shots (but no commentary).
