I'm a big girl now

This is perhaps the best blog entry yet

Today Bruce ran the 10K at the Cherry Blossom marathon in a city about 2 hours from Busan. Its always a big deal with the Nike office and product development centers here. As the name implies, its cherry blossom season here now and its really beautiful. This is the view from our hotel balcony:

After the races Nike hosts lunch and door prizes. Local dignitaries like Bruce have the honor of drawing the numbers for the prize winners. Before Bruce was called up to read numbers, our Nike neighbor JJ and his daughter Aylie drew numbers. Vivian thinks Aylie is pretty cool, being a 6 year old and all. Aylie drew the numbers and read them to the crowd in both Korean and English. When it was her (Dad's) turn, Vivian went to the stage to help draw numbers. She insisted on having a microphone, as well, and on turning it on.

Vivian knows a lot of (words for) numbers but not in any particular order. She also can't actually read numbers. So she's just rattling off numbers, and a lot of them at once. If you can't tell, the crowd loved it. She brought down the house.

Bruce did great in the race, by the way.

You're right, Kiley. She brought down our house, too, and I'm still laughing. She is a regular entertainer.
