Memorial Day hike
Yesterday was Memorial Day and Bruce had the day off. We explored a trail that starts very near our apartment and goes some distance to the next beach up the coast. I don't know why we hadn't done this outing before. It was really nice.
We don't have a backpack for Vivi yet, so poor Bruce carried her all the way in the front pack. Its a little hard on his back after a while, especially 3 1/2 hours worth.

Koreans love walking, and they love a little extra workout along the way. On nearly every trail we've seen in Pusan we come across outdoor public workout areas. Typically there are sit-up benches, pull-up bars, and sometimes even a weight bench and free weights. Bruce and Vivi stopped for a little extra fitness:
Vivian loves to be outdoors, looking at new and interesting things. We were out for a long time, and she only cried and fussed after waking up from her two naps, and even then only until she woke up completely. Sleeping is so comfortable in the pack!

Along the way we passed a well spring complete with dippers for a refreshing drink...

...and lots of squatter gardens (Koreans grow veggies on every available piece of land, regardless of who owns the land).

Wherever we go, Vivian gets lots of attention, gasps, and cries of "agi ipoyo!" (pretty baby) or "cu-tuh!" (cute). And lots of people stopping to look at her. Young, old, men, women, everyone here loves babies.
