The bittersweet last days of summer

Summer is over in Busan but summer is at its best. Hard to imagine, but Korean summer ends on Sept 1st, and all summer activity with it. The weather is a perfect 80 degrees, the beaches are empty, and the water is warm. Its perfect but simultaneously sad because its almost over and it seems like it just started to get good.

So we've spent every afternoon this week, after school, at the beach. Swimming, digging, and playing in relative peace (which is saying something because at busier times, admiring Koreans won't leave the kids alone, and they're not very good at reading body language and knowing when to back off...)
