Easter Party

The tots had an Easter Party this week and boy was it a blast. Since most of the kids are too young to get it anyway, we didn't dye easter eggs, but instead had a candy "hunt." Basically, the playground was strewn with candy and the kids went crazy collecting. It was a great idea, but the execution was hampered by a previously unconsidered factor: sun. By the time most of the chocolate was collected, it was half melted or better.

Vivian had never tasted chocolate before today. She must have smelled the melting gooey goodness through the wrapper because she couldn't wait to unwrap the chocolates - she just ate them paper, foil, and all. What a great time she had. (Later one of the moms told me that as she was sorting her son's candy, she found several pieces of chocolate bearing evidence of Viv's attentions - they were wrapped but had four distinctive teeth marks embedded in the chocolate. So apparently she just bit into some and put them back for another kid to collect!)

Other than that, Easter was not much of an event around here. We had a busy busy weekend (see next post) but we did get the chance to let Viv run around in her bunny ears for a few minutes. Happy Easter everyone!
